One of the headlines these days is that Singapore is ranked one of the lowest in terms of media freedom. perhaps they should examine within themselves the kind of entertainment they provide to the public first. if 'Singapore Idol' wasn't bad enuff, they had to produce a reality show similar to the 'The Block' here, where the stars compete with each other to renovate a flat/room. omg...

the shows over here are appalling. the chinese shows are always the same: family gets broken up, borrows money from loan-sharks, various husbands/wives have affairs, in the end everyone gets together and opens a family business. its always a 'family business' ending. the english shows aren't any better with the new reality shows like 'Singapore Idol' and now they are going to do it again: 'Singapore Idol 2'.

must we resort to 'copying' other shows to attract viewers or to spark a sense of creativity? (-.-)
