Next time I’m going to tag you out with the bat instead of the ball.

When I'm trying to undo people's mistakes, i get tired.

When i get tired, i get irritable.

When i get irritable, i lose my temper easily.

When i get irritable, i try not to interact with people because i might lose my temper and they do not deserve that.

So in short,

When i'm trying to undo people's mistakes, i lose my temper easily.

When that happens, please avoid me.

If you do not avoid me and feel the wrath of my anger, i hope you understand and do not blame me for losing my temper.

I call a ten year time out to grow some more.

Eh. I don't think i'm sitting in your car. If i do so, there will be three people at the back. If there's a jam, they are going to suffer.

Okay lor. I anything one. But why you so stupid? Got car to sit, you don't want.

*outrage* Stupid?! I'm trying to be considerate here. I'm thinking for those people at the back.

*chuckles* Okay lor. Whatever.

Why is it that when you try to be considerate, people laugh at you for doing so?

I had always believed, perhaps childishly, that if you followed the rules, you would be protected, that things like that would not happen to you. Afterwards, I felt … tricked. Foolish. Gullible, that I had thought ideals could protect me.

Honour and courtesy and justice … .they are not real, Fitz. We all pretend to them, and hold them to us like shields. But they guard only against folk who carry the same shields. Against those who have discarded them, they are no shields at all, but only additional weapons to use against their victims.

Houston, we have a negative on that orbit trajectory.

One of the many things that really irritates me, is the way some people behave.

During a meeting, if i can tolerate you talking or discussing about issues which do not concern me, why can you not do the same?

Sheesh. (-.-)

History is the fiction we invent to persuade ourselves that events are knowable and that life has order and direction.

So how? If cannot get approval, means cannot go out for tender leh.

I thought incredulously to myself: You are joking. The tender was confirmed to be on Monday. Our drawings and documents are almost ready, and you're telling me we cannot go out for tender?!

Forgive my crude language and analogy.

Telling us that we cannot go out for tender with the scheduled date so close, is a bit like having sex.

You both are having a good time romping the bed, sweating and doing the horizontal lambada. Then, when you're close to an orgasm, your partner tells you:

Oops. We were too hasty in the beginning. Lets put on a condom for safety's sake.

Except that when your sex session ends, it feels a lot better as compared to the real-life situation of the tender is released.

Things you should always consider before making a decision.

Check the following list of handy expletives, and see that you know how to use them.

Apology Letter to the Boss of a Architectural Firm:

I wish to apologize for my rude behavior on Friday. I know, i know. I was childish, impolite and just plain obnoxious.

But.

Allow me to show you my schedule on that day:

  • 9.30am - First Meeting
  • 12.30pm - Finished First Meeting
  • 1.00pm - Arrived back at office
  • 1.30pm - Leave office for Second Meeting
  • 2.00pm - Second Meeting
  • 2.30pm - Leave for Third Meeting
  • 3.00pm - Third Meeting

As you can see, my itinerary was packed. After my first meeting, when i arrived back in office, i had to continue my tender preparations for Monday, and my preparations were only half-done. When i reached your office at 2.00pm, i hadn't even eaten my lunch. And i had only 30mins to go through whatever issues that had arise.

And while i was explaining something to you, you said, "I'm an Architectural Registered Inspector (R.I.). I know the rules and regulations." I kept quiet. Mostly out of deference to you since you're the boss of the firm, you're elderly and you have lots of experience.

But when your younger Architect showed the portion of the Code of Practice which reaffirms my explanation and statement, I lost it.

I'm sorry. I should have kept quiet and at least, speak in a more reasonable "I-told-you-so" tone of voice.

You are old. You are the boss of the architectural firm. You have heaps of experience. You deserve respect and recognition.

Therefore, i offer my humble apologies and will do my best not to make the same mistake again.

A Disquiet Heart

After so long, one would have thought that time would temper and eventually quench the anger, rage and fire in my heart. for now, this assumption/illusion is proven wrong.

a chance remark completely refired the grievances that were buried, and perhaps the dwelling and brooding of past memories were catalysts for this to happen. the rigid self-control, which had served me for so long, prevents me from running over, punching, kicking, shouting and venting my anger. i have a sudden urge to lash out at some inoffending object or to the offender and cause of this rage. you might ask: why not air the grievances to the person? my answer: because it happened in the past and i don't want to dreg it up. quarrels, fights and wars are created because of such actions and by intending to avoid such consequences, i have placed myself in a paradoxical quagmire.

the more i chew on the events, the stronger the flame grows. dammit, i need something to distract myself. (-.-)
